I love cartridges!
I find this trimmer very accurate and I like that it has cartridges. I had a Fiskars rotary trimmer (which I loved) but one day I cut my hand really badly because the blade compartment in the pocket opened up and I cut myself reaching for it! Cartridges do not allow this. The only point of criticism is the labeling of the ruler. It's hard to tell where to cut as all lines are the same length for all measurements except inches. It's a bit bigger than I need, as a handyman I really never turn down a 12x12 trimmer. I would buy it again, for sure.
