I cooked roast beef for Thanksgiving and followed the directions that came with it, but decided to buy this meat thermometer as well to make sure I got the timing right. Glad I did because if I just followed the written beef instructions and just relying on time, my beef would be too raw. I took the beef out of the oven at 129 degrees and let it sit for 20 minutes until done. The temp hit 132 and the beef came out perfectly medium rare. Also, the meat thermometer could be calibrated to test on ice to ensure it is accurate. I'm thankful I had this meat thermometer for my Thanksgiving dinner. I definitely recommend it!
