I'm 6.2ft - 185lbs. I usually buy pants in size 33-34(W) x 34(D). From the reviews I noticed that many weren't sure how to properly determine the short sizes and the descriptions weren't very helpful. Since I wasn't sure what size to order, I decided to order three different sizes: M, L, XL. These shorts are very stretchy so size M fits very nice and comfortably. The inside pocket holds my phone very comfortably. I don't hit my foot while running. Use L if you have thicker thighs or want to feel a little more relaxed. The phone in my pocket flies a little more freely when I run. I still like XL very much - they are very comfortable, but are a bit too big for me. They're more like basketball shorts.
