Review on SRAM P Link Bicycle Chain 8 Speed Sports & Fitness by Alejandro Lane

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This chain is very chainable

The 830 is at the low end of SRAM, the company that I think makes the best chains. It's basically the same as their more expensive models, just heavier. And since this happens on a 38 pound fat bike, I don't care about the chain weight. What's really important to me is reliability and durability and this vacuum ticks both the boxes. You see, the aforementioned fat bike lives a rough and unforgiving life, usually in its natural habitat, covered in beach sand or at a parking meter outside Mo's Tavern, waiting for its drunk owner to reappear, or maybe rocking hard in ocean after mine unsuccessful attempt to pass the rocky Captiola alone in sandals at high tide. I was distracted. Let's get back to the chain. This comes with a power connector that requires no tools to remove. Don't end sentences with prepositions. And I use these in a single speed drivetrain and have found that they stretch less and work better than single speed chains. Five stars.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Tradable
