These are the best shoes I've ever owned. I bought it for a two week canoe trip in Canada. I sent these shoes through hell. Running 5+ miles in knee-deep mud with a canoe on my shoulders, dragging my ankle-deep canoe through rocky water, whatever, and these shoes probably made it through. They are perfect for walking and carrying in the water. Three years after I bought them, they're still holding up. They have small drainage holes at the bottom for water to drain out. I wore socks because otherwise I would wake up wet in them and ruin my legs. Not sure how long it really takes for them to dry because I was always in the water, but I left them outside my tent and they were still a bit damp, but nothing ever happens on a canoe trip...completely is dry. You want a pair of durable boots, this is for you!
