Good sacrificial cable

Bought for a vanity mirror whose micro USB connector seemed fragile. I had a feeling that reconnecting/disconnecting might mess up the mirror port. I leave one of them plugged in, 4 inches is pretty short and not bulky. Now I plug the long USB power cable into this short, potentially sacrificial cable. The cable does not heat up and the LED vanity mirror is transparent to connect this 4 inch cable.
