Installation problem. The replacement socket has two screws that act as terminals for a low voltage switch that turns the vacuum motor on when you insert the hose and turns it off when you remove the hose. The diameter of the screw head is smaller than the original and all previous replacement sockets I've used, making it difficult to get the screw head in contact with the wire. Also, the length or body of the same screw is slightly shorter than the original outlets, meaning the threads can be removed much more easily. In each of these cases, the output is useless if any of them occur. The good news is that screws in old broken sockets can be replaced with screws in new sockets and the problem is solved. However, be very careful when replacing it, as there is a small spring and an even smaller button under the screws that are necessary for the socket to work properly.
