I use it for stropping very hard steels and for polishing dirty, scratched up bolsters and such. Works great for both and the price isn't stupid like it is for so many other brands.8k grit is too coarse for stropping to a mirror edge. It gets very close, but no actual mirror reflection if that's what you're after. I don't care about that and just want it to strop effectively, which is does just fine. It's also very good for getting a shiny, polished finish on dull factory satin bolsters.If I ever need to buy more I'll probably buy more of this, but the stuff lasts so long I fully expect to die of old age before I use it all up.
