What a great set of measuring cups. After going through several sets of measuring cups, I was fed up with cups (even other SS cups) with handles that bend and/or break, plastic cups with sizes printed on them that wash out after the first wash, and other issues . I was looking for a really good set to add to my birthday wish list and after reading many reviews on many different sets I chose these exact sets and got them for my birthday this year. I've been using them for three months now and am very impressed with how strong they are and still look beautiful after prolonged use. They arrived nicely packaged and with a small chain connecting the mugs together as you can see in the product photo. I have since ditched the chain as we keep our measuring cups in the baking drawer and use them daily so I don't want to unplug and reconnect the chain every time I need to use the cup. They fold very neatly, a small ridge on all the smaller cups helps them sit flat instead of gradually tipping. I didn't notice any difference in the bread we bake every day so I think the sizes are comparable. to most other measuring cups, but I've included photos of the different measurements so you can decide for yourself. The water in the glass on the scale is filled to overflowing. The flour is All Trumps flour and may be a little heavier than usual given the current humidity in Missouri. A standard Pyrex liquid measuring cup is used to compare the water. I don't know how accurate the pyrex measurements are, but that's all I need. As you can see, a cup of water is the same in either measure. Perhaps the most important quality I was looking for in the new measuring cups was the strength of the handle. We usually scoop up the ingredients, which puts a lot of strain on the connection between the handle and the cup. The handles on these mugs are strong and durable and I don't think they will ever break. All in all, these mugs are fantastic.
