Review on Grit Guard Insert Red Diameter by Evan Larson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good addition to auto detailing kits.

After watching many YouTube videos and learning how to wash cars with the two bucket system, I bought two of these wash and rinse buckets. The theory behind this is that dirt settles under the guard so you don't rub dirt into the paint causing scratches. They seem to be doing their job as advertised. They are well made and are now part of my washing routine. The reason they didn't get five stars is due to two minor issues. First, they cost about $8-9 each, and since they're just a plastic mold, it seems like they should only cost 5 or so, or 2 for 12. I mean, there's more plastic in a Home Depot bucket and they are only 5 dollars. The second issue is that I bought two pep boys red buckets to match the red sand guard (vanity) and they are both five gallons but the guard doesn't go all the way to the bottom. So I'm pretty sure they'll fit a Home Depot bucket, but as far as I know not all 5 gallon buckets are universal.
