I use this thing with a budget gaming laptop, where they decided to save money on such things as a "sound card", and so this thing has changed this situation a lot. No background noise was noticed, the drivers are from Microsoft, they have the best sound for me;)) I use it paired with Microlab Solo 5C, so I can’t say anything about the sound in the headphones.
