I need to use a PC for work and also have a MAC personal computer. To make my life easier, I bought this switch so I wouldn't have to clutter up my desk with two monitors. I think I can improve my setup with shorter cables and not using a Mac hub. My MacBook is a 2017 model with no HDMI output. Hence the hub. But it works and I'm very happy with it. There are several problems with this device: 1. It disables USB. Logitech Hub goes nuts every time I switch.2. Sometimes the monitor just disappears. "No signal" or "Cable disconnected".
