So I bought it not sure if it would work with my crazy 5120x1440 monitor and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it worked. The specs say 4K max, but I wasn't sure this odd-sized monitor could cover such a versatile device. For us who work from home, this is a great tool that allows me to quickly switch between my home PC and work laptop. which are connected to this KVM and share a keyboard and monitor which in turn connects this KVM to the monitor and USB cables back to the home PC and laptop to return the keyboard and mouse signal. There's also a nice big button that toggles between device 1 (green) and device 2 (blue). There is a free Microsoft app called Microsoft Garage or something that lets you use one keyboard and one mouse with two computers, but it has two problems: 1. You still have to disconnect and reconnect the monitor.2. And this is important, it doesn't work for games. I'm playing games on my personal PC and if the mouse goes over the edge and hits my work PC, the game ends or I lose control3. Since the mouse and keyboard are physically connected to my work laptop, this app only allows me to use them on my home PC by turning on my work laptop. So this device solves that problem. I've had it for a few days now and I like it so far.
