So, for the price I paid and the 24 hours I had to wait for delivery from the time I placed my order, this little box is amazing - it works like windows (work) and a Mac (personal) - no drivers to install, just HDMI cable plugged in, turned off and running. I ended up adding the included USB cables for mouse sharing - no problem it seemed. HOWEVER - and this is a minor annoyance - when I switch systems, the Windows box treats it as if I unplugged the HDMI cable from the box - there's a disconnection noise, reconnection noises when I switch back - and a big one Pain, any windows that were on the monitor before switching and have now been moved to the laptop screen need to be placed back to the side of the monitor. Fortunately, neither Windows nor Mac forgets the monitor settings when switching, because that would be unacceptable.
