Stable gimbal with a new design

Crane 3 is the latest offering from Zhiyun, a company that I believe has always made reliable products. With this new gimbal they have introduced a new design which I think has some great pros and cons. Despite being larger, it doesn't feel too big to me, and the build quality feels like an improvement. from the Weebil lab. It's a mix of plastic and metal and while I would have preferred all metal it certainly adds weight so I see the idea of using plastic throughout.5 What I like about this gimbal is: - New design. With Crane Suspension, you can easily switch between vertical mode and suspension mode. With previous stabilizers I had to slowly flip the stabilizer upside down and wait for the motors to register this transition and then of course I had to do the same thing again and that was a problem that didn't always work. You can instantly switch between these two modes without using the motors, and the suspension mode itself looks amazing on this gimbal. The weight is well balanced and the rear handle gives you much better control than if you were to do the same with a Faucet 2 or Ronin S. Second are motor locks which I think could be one of the best additions to this. the latest line of stabilizers. Each axis has a motor lock that, when you flip a switch, locks that axis in its original position. This allows you to fold it up quickly and easily, knowing you can transport it safely without risking damage to the engines. It's probably best to use these motors as they make balancing the gimbal incredibly easy. Both this and the Weebill lab are by far the easiest gimbals I have ever balanced and I have balanced MANY of them. It only took a few minutes and locking all but the axes I needed played a big part in it. The third thing I like about this gimbal is the weight limit. We've been using mirrorless cameras since we ditched the original Ronin, and I haven't had a real DSLR on a gimbal in a long time. But just out of curiosity I loaded my 5diii with a 50mm lens and it handled it with no problem. Fourth on the list are all the dedicated buttons on the gimbal. I've never liked having a series of clicks to switch modes or control aspects of the gimbal or camera, and the Zhiyun 3 Tap really gets rid of that. Finally, a permanent rear grip was added. Now the grip itself doesn't feel cheap, instead being part of the gimbal which is made out of plastic. This is a much better solution than having to flip the crank like the Weebill lab did. A few other quick things that didn't quite make the cut are the joystick which I love with the perfect amount of feedback and the ability to connect my phone to a gimbal to use as a 1080p monitor and some cool ones Functions access elements stabilizer control. Unfortunately, as with most things, the Zhiyun 3 faucet isn't perfect, and it's time to think about 5 things I don't like about this gimbal. When using it, I found two main disadvantages. First, it sits incredibly low off the ground and doesn't have many handles, making it incredibly difficult to pick it up off the ground. Add to that the fact that the rear handle is plastic and I'm certainly a bit concerned when I get close to the maximum weight limit of this thing. While I like the permanent rear grip, bottom grip just doesn't exist. outside the base of the tripod, meaning you're essentially forced to use the rear handle with one hand instead of keeping both hands down. The second on my list of things I don't like actually comes with the bottom handle issue that all the accessories are back on the left side. I'm left-handed, I keep the stabilizer closer to the left, and I need the monitor on the right. The lack of space for the bottom handle also means that even if I wanted to, I wouldn't even be able to mount the monitor in the spot that's right for me. The third on this list isn't just about Faucet 3, but Jiyoon in general and that it's their app that looks good but doesn't work well. I can't seem to update it, so I can't make any adjustments. Fourth on my list is the price, I don't think it's overpriced for what if deals, but I think it's probably quite difficult. market, and there are cheaper competitors with similar features. The fifth thing is small, but the rear wheel seems really cheap to me compared to everything else about the suspension. Overall I still think it's a great stabilizer, especially if you want to fly a heavier rig. This gimbal offers some great features and I think overall you will be happy with it!
