I was a little confused that you need to register a Geeni account to use these lights. I don't know about geeni but it seems like they are the software provider for many cheaper smart bulbs. So these are Spectra / iHome / Geeni lamps. I don't know who you would call if there was a problem as apparently at least one company just put a name on the box. After registering on an unknown website (using a specially crafted email address), no problem. I was blown away by how responsive these lights are. I placed one of these bulbs in the case along with a Hue Zigby Light Link bulb. These Spectra/iHome/Geeni bulbs are almost as quick to change color as a tint, and they turn on and off just as quickly. Compared to the cheapest Wi-Fi smart bulbs, which can take a second or more to change color (very annoying when trying to pick a color scheme), they're practically instantaneous. It's impressive that these bulbs are brighter than the shade I'm comparing them to, although I don't have any recently released lighter shade bulbs to use in this comparison. : color, brightness and saturation. The brightness slider confuses the color. Vivid colors can be achieved quickly with the color slider if you are not too picky about what color you want and want it to be as vivid as possible. Another downside is connectivity. You are using 2.4 GHz WiFi. In general, if you need more than a few lights, using Wi-Fi isn't the best idea. Smart Wifi devices consume a significant amount of unneeded bandwidth; Target networks like Zigbee or Zwave are much more efficient but require an initial investment in a hub. However, if you just need a couple of lightbulbs that are responsive, bright and colorful, these are for you. at a very good price.
