A base for camper vans for decades, the design has never changed either because they still work! We have used them on our various RV's over the years to keep items in place and on shelf in the RV fridge. They will also work on many closet shelves but this time I bought them for our fridge. While some reviewers I've read said they could easily be separated, the plastic holders broke when I tried to separate them for our use, realizing that together they basically block a shelf and when separated , they can now carry two shelves in our refrigerator. Easy to use, you simply unscrew the inner tube from the outer tube until it is snug against the rubber bumpers on the ends in the fridge. From what I remember the rubber plugs wear out long before the hoses wear out, so they don't last long. forever and ever!
