This review is for the Cavix 36mm low profile ball head. The same applies to the black version or the silver aluminum version. I have several inexpensive ball heads from Revain China ranging from 28mm/29mm to 46mm. Of the six or so I have, this is the best. ! It's also the cheapest. Panning is a little tight but smooth. The head is fixed very tightly with minimal tension. The head arm is also adjustable, so you can adjust it so it doesn't wobble once it comes loose. The head arm also cleans the base as well as the bottom of the platter, unlike the Koolehaoda ball head which is good too. This is the lowest altitude of all. Nice and compact. The base is 1.9 inches in diameter and 2.75 inches in height including the top. I have no problem using my PENTAX K-1 with an old M series 400mm lens, very big and heavy, on this head. It is firmly fixed! I have no complaints about this head. Even if I paid 4 times that (I paid $23), I couldn't complain.
