Decent and affordable battery solution for BMPCC4K

This is probably the cheapest way to power this camera with NP-F batteries as an alternative to the supplied LP-E6 battery. You can buy a cheaper small plate which I use with my a6500 camera but I'll tell you in a moment why this is the best solution for this camera. Nothing to brag about, we have a standard locking mechanism on the side of the plate and there is also a small hinge on the front to prevent the batteries from slipping out and this is a kind of locking mechanism for your np-f batteries. On one side we have a fixed 12 volt cable about 1 foot long that goes straight to the Blackmagic Pocket Movie Camera and there is also an indicator for your battery. On the other hand you also have another 7.4v output so if you want to power other accessories that support 7.4v output so for example if I'm using a dual camera setup and this one want to supply both cameras with electricity, a BMPCC4k and another Sony A6500 with only one battery plate, that is also possible. All you need is a dead battery going in and out of your Sony camera. On the bottom we have a quarter inch screw to either attach directly to your camera or you can attach to your camera cage. The problem with my camera is that this screw somehow doesn't fully tighten the camera and sometimes loosens up after a while, but once I attach it to the cage or maybe that little top handle, it stays in place perfectly. In addition, there is a piece of rubber on the bottom that prevents any wobbling after it is attached to the surface. There's a knob to tighten the quarter-inch screw, but it's really too small for my thumbs, so you'll probably need a screwdriver if you want to tighten this plate as tight as possible. Same goes for the battery, I don't see any room for jitter or loose contact when used with a camera. Even though we have a locking mechanism at the end of the NP-F connection, you can still remove the battery with very little effort, so if your setup is such that you can force the battery through at some point, it may come off that so you should take note. Usage: Let's talk about how it works. Well, in the last month of use I haven't been able to find any flaws so far. I ran two camera setups with the same plate for about half an hour and it worked perfectly fine driving these two cameras at the same time. You can also get a NP-F battery with USB output and then you have 3 connections at the same time and then you can also output power for your zoom recorder from just one battery and complete your installation. The build quality could be improved, I really wish the plastic was better but for the amount of money you probably can't get anything better. They don't come with a cable compared to the Smallrig plate which is the only cheaper option with NP-F plates. If you add this cost, it will cost you the same. Also, the Smallrig board has only one output, and this Fotga board has a 7.4V output. So if you have used the Smallrig plate before, it is better to buy this plate with attached BMPCC 4k cable, then you can use it with your DSLR style. a camera that normally requires a 7.4-5 output. The only downside I see is that this power cord is permanently connected to the plate. So if something happens to that connection or cable in the future, you'll probably have to replace the entire panel, unless you just want to use the 7.4V output Also that indicator, I wish we had strips instead, or at least one light at 25% usage. For now, this indicator only has two colors: green for normal voltage and red when it feels like the battery is low and on the verge of death. Which is really handy, but I really wish they had something better than that. Sometimes I completely forget to see the red light on the side and then my battery dies in the middle of something, so hopefully I'll keep an eye on them in the future . And that's pretty much it, I hope it was helpful. If you want to see the full video, visit my YouTube channel for more BMPCC4k accessories.
