Review on SD05CRMA 4 4 6 5V Dedicated Charging Controller by Brandon Mcvey

It seems to work, but there are many problems

I use it for a 1S lithium battery pack (single cell).* What works - the light turns on when there is no sun. The right size for 4.2V charging is 5-6V, leaving a bit of headroom for warm or cloudy weather. As well as. You must limit the voltage of the array or it will switch to 2S charging and overcharge your batteries. * What doesn't work - turn off the light when the battery is low. At 2.5V (clearly over-discharged) it was still trying to turn on my headlights. For good battery life, you need to turn off the light at around 3V. I do not recommend this.

Pros
  • The solar charging panel charger can automatically adjust the charging current according to the output power of the input power supply, and the maximum charging current / output current is 1A, but you can change the current by changing the value of resistor R1.
