These are good binoculars for the price! When I bought these for the kids to watch hummingbirds in their backyard (and at the local park) I didn't expect the level of quality we received. They compete with some of my Nikons! I'm not sure if we'll be using a phone adapter, but I've attached a picture of it in case anyone needs to see how it attaches to the eyepiece. The tripod mount uses an ABS plastic adapter that screws into the center of the binoculars - this is the standard 1/4-20 thread in the binocular itself, and the plastic adapter is also a standard 1/4-20 thread. This makes it really easy to mount on almost any tripod - the included tripod probably won't make you happy, but stronger tripods can be bought anywhere. Image quality is much clearer than I expected, and the rubberized finish means they're comfortable to hold with wet hands or gloves. It comes with a neck strap and carrying case, but it's not exactly my style so I didn't use them. I'll keep it in a soft case or someone will have it in their hand or backpack when I go out with the kids to bird watch.
