Great idea, bad execution. Didn't work right away with new Duracells. I tried another brand of battery, it seems to work. Before the final installation I checked several times, everything seems fine. After installation it still worked perfectly, but after 2 days the device stopped working and my cabinet wouldn't open. Luckily it's just cheap plastic so it was very easy to open but it still damaged my closet. The literature says that when the batteries get low it defaults to the unlocked position. This is not the case if the block fails, you have to open it. Another important point to keep in mind if you decide to purchase this item. It will not go through metal of any thickness. Not aluminum foil and not because of the silver coating of the mirror. Again a nice idea of very low quality.
