I only had one transmitter for my Lexus and I was afraid of what would happen if I lost or damaged it. I was wanting to spend a lot more on a used block and have it programmed by a locksmith when I found this. Programmed with no problems. It takes a locksmith to cut the metal key, but the programming is already done. A friend who worked at an auto parts store gave me some advice. He said many of them were returned by people who repeatedly failed to follow instructions and then just stopped working. Read and understand the steps before you begin. I printed off a copy from the Dorman website as I had trouble reading the fine print on the packaging. I went through all the steps and received my new transmitter in just a few minutes.
