The best shoes are bought for support.
My husband wears size 14 shoes but his feet are severely swollen from lymphedema. So we bought a size 15 and I was happy to see that they are a 2XX width. It worked! The shoes are big enough for his swollen feet. The only problem is the back of the shoe. A bit difficult to insert the instep. The shoehorn doesn't help so I use my hands to extend the ankle support to get my foot in. Great hiking shoes! Comfortable and supportive.
