We bought this pen to hold our Golden Retriever puppy. We like almost everything about it. Easy to assemble, adjust and remove or add panels. In addition, the pads on the bottom prevent the handle from scratching wooden floors. However, the dog door is REALLY small. About two months after we brought her home, our golden retriever puppy was getting too big to go in and out of the pen through the dog door. It is easy for an adult to open and close the handle by disconnecting and reconnecting the panel. But it's not particularly comfortable either - and our little kids can't. We later learned that the panels of this petyard are interchangeable with those of the BABY Play Yard in the Northern States, which comes with the large (human) door. So we bought a 2-leaf door extension from Baby Play Yard and are using it with this petyard. Ultimately, it would be better just to walk through the Baby Play Yard.
