At first I was a bit confused. I tried to squeeze the extra cable length into the small space below where the connector compartment is. It did not work. However, I then looked at the back of the pattern and found that it was MADE to store the cord. It just takes a little patience to get the cable through the slots provided. It's like a maze and all you have to do is wrap the cable around it and gently slide it into the checkered grooves. Most of the cable will fit, and then try tucking the last inch back into the cable jack on the Echo. It will take a little fiddling, but it will pass. All you're left with is a perfectly organized device that can be plugged into the wall. No dangling plugs, no dangling cords, no ugliness - just a nice, neat way to talk and listen to your echoes!
