That's a good idea: an Echo Dot mount that hangs over an outlet. I took this wall mount out of the box and after about 2 minutes my Echo Dot was in and hanging on the wall. I used the bottom outlet so the top outlet can still be used. The mount I have is white only. This Echo Dot mount only works with version 3 Yes it says in the title but I thought it would work with two older models (of which I own many) work as a great way to reuse these devices around my house. At first I was a bit confused. I tried to squeeze the extra cable length into the small space below where the connector compartment is. It did not work. However, I then looked at the back of the pattern and found that it was MADE to store the cord. It just takes a little patience to get the cable through the slots provided. I used this with dot not realizing that all my dots are obviously smaller than the current gen. However, I was very impressed that I was able to get this to work with my little dot, even upside down. I needed this to fit in the top receptacle of my outlet because I had a power transformer in the bottom. I wanted to free up space in the bathroom.
