They protect the thresholds

They protect the sills very well, but they don't cover all the exposed painted areas. I thought they would fit me until I removed the doors. When the doors are closed, we tend to put our feet right in the area that the guards don't cover. Didn't think about it before buying. But they do a good job of preventing scuffs.
