In many ways these are good blocks. The blocks are available in different shapes and sizes, are made of high quality wood and are well finished. They are very smooth, so there is little chance of splinters. I originally intended to order more, but after playing with the dice with my son, I noticed a significant problem. Although these blocks are sold as "bricks," the shape and length do not match. Some blocks that should be the same size can vary in length by as much as 1/8 inch. While this may seem like a small difference, it makes structures unstable and makes it almost impossible to build taller buildings with those pieces. With other blocks, the corners are strange. Many of the triangles differ not only in length but also in shape. The larger flat triangular pieces are said to have 90* angles, but they're probably closer to 86*. This severely limits their usefulness in construction. In general, these are good quality blocks. Just understand that about 20% of blocks can be a lot less useful because they weren't cut to the right length or angled incorrectly.
