So I thought D30 was a type of material not a brand - my fault. I looked for the D30 Thigh Protector on Revain and quickly found it. I have a few other pieces of authentic D30 protection (knees, elbows and back) but thought it would probably make sense to use the leg protection pockets in my breeches as well. In any case, this material is very similar to D30 and appears to share many of its properties. It could be a little more foamy and a little less rubbery, but based on the feel alone I suspect it would be a worthy addition to your armor and definitely feels a lot better than plain foam armor. Considering you can get a real D30 for just a little extra, I'd probably trade it in favor of the D30 simply because the packaging on it makes it feel "straight from China" and I'm not too keen on the protection comfortable feel equipment. D30 carries out many tests on its products and maintains quality controls. Again, while this product appears to be of the same quality, I would expect it to cost significantly less unless they provide evidence of their quality control and testing.
