Easy to use with great results. Excellent value for money and quality. The customer service can't be beat.

First impression Speakeasy Distillers has great customer service. When I received my 4 gallon the top was bent at about a 15 degree angle. I contacted Speakeasy Distillers and Rob from customer service contacted me about my problem. After sending pictures of the damage Rob confirmed there was a problem and immediately sent another bib and capacitor. Thanks Rob Everything is qualitatively processed, the seams are clean and precise. The slobber pot can also be used as a gin pot and I am very excited to test this feature. I love the fact that I can use my gas range or induction cooker to warm up the mash. The only extra I needed was a cooling water circulating pump that I bought at Lowe's. Usage: I set everything up after flushing the still. I spilled the cleaning mixture and cleaned again. I had a few batches of mead that weren't quite right, so I decided to extract the alcohol from the mead with my new still. I started with 8 pints of sparkling mead and made my first run. With my gas stove I increased the temperature to evaporate the methanol (about 65°C). There's not much "wood alcohol" in the mead, but I got about a tablespoon. Drain the drool pot and increase the heat to bring the mead to 80C to pull out the good stuff. Still has very good heat retention and conductivity and I was able to hold 80C on a low stove. Worked at 80ᵒ until output was just a few drops per minute, giving over 8 ounces of alcohol (about 7% ABV) at 140 ABV. I made another 12 pints from another batch and poured almost 23 ounces (11.9% ABV) a 140 ABV, using the same technique as the first game. Happy? You bet! This is my first attempt and I felt like I've been doing this for years. Still don't regret choosing this? Absolutely not! Next Steps: We use this to make our own extracts from things like vanilla, lemon, and other baking ingredients. My wife is an avid baker and loves it when I create her flavors. Then I make mashed corn to test my skills. For speakeasy burners: Give Rob an A for me. Consider crafting a dephlegmator that will allow me to convert this vessel into a full dephlegmator using your reflux column.

Cons
