Clear, bright, beautiful picture! The text is clear, there are no shadows. Colors are vibrant, high quality nature photos are great on this monitor. And it worked great right out of the box, no fiddling with fonts etc. I chose it for its compatibility with my mid-2012 Silver Tower MacPro desktop. Works perfectly! I had to buy a DVI to HDMI cable as none of the included cables cover it. I was replacing an existing 10 year old Samsung monitor of the same size and resolution that needed a lighter weight wall mounted monitor for my new desktop setup. The old Samsung still worked great, but now we drive across the country in the van on bumpy washboard roads and everything shakes. I didn't know how long the old lady would last, and I didn't want to try to replace her when we were a million miles from civilization. That's why I chose this moment for a new one while it was easy to do this. Outstanding picture quality. I'm amazed that it really stands out from my old 27 inch monitor which has the same settings: 1920 x 1080 resolution, 60Hz, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 16.7M Colors... In usage terms I spend hours a day at my computer so the monitor is important. I spend most of my time word processing or reading PDFs, but I also create print quality graphics. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a lot of frames. I like a solid monitor frame so I don't have to touch the screen to move the monitor and in an RV I have to move it. Another thing is that the control button is on the back and as far as I can tell everything is done through that button if you want or need to go into the monitor panel. I prefer those controls on the front, on the frame, like real knobs. However, monitors with minimal bezels and rear buttons seem to be the most popular these days, so I'll have to be in the minority if I prefer the other route. However, I am excited about the Samsung Business S27R650FDN monitor. This is my third Samsung monitor in the last few years. I used to have a 27" P2770HD monitor from 2010 and a 2693HM monitor from 2008. The 2008 model was mine and the 2010 model was my husband's. My 2008 died a few years ago and he gifted me his 2770. It always works yet, but I upgraded to the new one anyway.
