The purpose of this product is to charge it hands-free. Put your phone on the charger and forget about it! Install it and forget it, I've done that and I've had several mornings where my phone wasn't charging and others where my phone was dead in the morning. So I did a little research and looked at my phone after I put it on the charger. The loading process starts and stops after ten seconds. I moved it around a bit and then it synced back up and started charging only to stop charging after ten seconds. I've given up using it. A few months went by and I bought a new, larger phone and tried again, thinking it would cover more floor space and maybe sync more easily. Oops. I even tried putting it gently in the middle but still with the same disappointing result of it turning off after just ten seconds. Now gathering dust in the closet.
