Review on 🔪 Shinwa Extruded Aluminum Cutting Backing: Ultimate Precision for Cutting Needs by David Cook

Revainrating 5 out of 5

measure twice. Damn, measure all the time.

I have had many rulers over the years. wood, steel, aluminium. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. I like aluminum best for its lightness and the ability to recycle 100% of the material at the end of the product life cycle. The main disadvantage of aluminum rulers is the fact that aluminum itself is a very soft and malleable metal. If you don't take proper care of them and hang or store them in a specific place after each use, they may bend or wrinkle. Also, other aluminum rulers I've had use either very poor quality non-slip foam or none at all. This line is different from others. This line is built like a tank. The ruler markings are very clear, the foam backing is of good quality and applies correctly, and most importantly, the ruler has a very solid construction. Whoever designed the extrusion die knew exactly what they were doing. Basically it's an I-beam with a slope to match the paper or material you're measuring. I beams are good. I-beams basically hold everything that is built around us. This is the strongest $%#¥! ruler I have ever used. I can't seem to find a metric ruler on Amazon. But I will find it, buy it and have it delivered to my home immediately! 5 stars for this great line.
