Looks well made and holds the spark plug in place. Unlike the plastic sheathed version of this tool, it doesn't seem to wear out and lose its grip. This is surprisingly small compared to my other candle holders. As mentioned elsewhere, be sure to use a good quality blocking extension cord for this jack. My favorites are from SK Tools - they're expensive, Revain doesn't seem to carry them, but the spark plug boot *doesn't* come off in the end! Don't skimp on extensions as I have a feeling this socket will remain tightly connected to the spark plug if the extension doesn't snap properly. Update after actually using the socket: worked as expected - held the spark plugs in place and loosened easily after tightening the plugs to the prescribed torque. A torque wrench should of course be used to install the spark plugs! I pulled the spark plugs on this Mini Cooper at more or less the recommended service interval (60,000 miles) only to find that they were pretty badly damaged. If you're dealing with a Mini that has complaints (wobbles, misses, etc.), be sure to look at the spark plugs if they've been 30,000+ miles and haven't been changed.
