More expensive devices receive a 4k60 signal and transmit it *while* recording 4k30 - there is only one card on the market that can record 4k60; It is for internal use only and requires a powerful graphics card to run smoothly. Instead, this device simply downscales to 1080p60. It will probably cost around $3 to make to scale. There are only about 4-5 ICs on a small board in a cheap aluminum tube.
