First I had to return my original batch as the shoes came without insoles. That being said, the second batch arrived in just 3 days - great job Revane. Good for looking at boots - the insoles are thin cardboard so I put in a better quality, thicker and more comfortable insole. The shoes fit great and are very light. I'm a walking postman so I put on my shoes the next day of work and was able to walk 9 miles with no problems - good insoles and great shoes. Shoes are very light, excellent grip when ascending and descending and walking sideways on hilly terrain. Shoes go below the ankle. The shoes come with slightly elastic laces. I consider it a plus that the shoe is not too tight or binding. Great shoes, I would buy again. The downsides I see are thin insoles. In addition, the trunk opens when moving sideways over hills, making it easier for debris to enter the trunk. This happened once in 9 miles. My other issue is that the boots pick up dirt when walking on muddy terrain. Stomping on shoes will remove most but not all of the dirt, so be careful not to leave any dirt or grime in it. I would definitely buy shoes again. I would give 5 stars but figured Columbia would offer a more comfortable insole.
