These perches are fantastic quality for the price. Seems well made and my boy loves running around in his cage and doing acrobatics. The small size is just right for the dog's green-cheeked paws and is his usual choice when he's jumping excitedly to get attention because he's very good at holding it (and I guess he bounces a bit for extra fun - lol.) He likes to wipe it with his beak and nibble every now and then, but the first one I bought shows no signs of wear after a month. I just bought a second one and will probably get a few more as his playground continues to grow and take over my apartment! All rope bars/toys are a safety hazard, especially if your bird pecks aggressively; Check them regularly for loose threads and trim or replace whole if necessary. However, they are great for adding to the variety of standing areas you offer your birds to keep their feet healthy. So maybe just install them outside the cage if you're concerned.
