Disappointment: cat doors, railings and steps

The lock function worked fine, about a month. My cat is stuck and now doesn't work with either the switch or the collar. It makes noise but is kind of muffled. Haven't tried taking it apart yet but I don't feel like I need to do a repair after 6 weeks max of use.
