My boyfriend and I love stew, but it usually costs us over $60 each time. I thought buying one of these would be a good investment. I read the other reviews first and agree with most of what was said, but I'll go through the pros and cons of this grill combo. Cons: - It's not detachable from the base, so it's quite difficult to clean. Basically I had to wash it with a sponge and it was time consuming - it has problems with even heating. The thin ends of the grill and pan don't get very hot, but rotating the food to keep the cooked bits warm solves this problem. - It often makes a weird clicking noise and it's a bit annoying Pros: - It has options that you can use just the grill, just the pot, or both. Perfect size for a couple or small family. Heats up quickly. When I first used it, I preheated the broth before pouring it in. The second time I boiled the broth in it, and it boiled within minutes. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. If the production company could fix the weird clicking sound and removable chord it would be 5/5.
