Review on πŸ”Š Upgrade Your Ride: Aquatic AV MP5 Replacement Radio for Harley-Davidson (1998-2013) by Nathan Skipper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Truth plus answers to many questions. Good product. * 2 year update

First off, this system is a complete stock upgrade. I installed it on a 2009 road glider. The power of the onboard amplifier is much higher than that of the normal one. Installation consists of plugging the connector into the standard wiring harness and replacing the standard mounting screws. Okay, the correct answers have been given. This model without color display.1. yes i have a watch He scrolled through the display and there he was. Many say the clock appears on your odometer display as soon as you remove the factory unit. Well, after removing and installing the aquablock, nothing appeared. Well, a week later, a clock mysteriously appeared on the odometer. I don't know what years this happens, but it didn't happen right away.2. The Bluetooth works perfectly. It instantly connects to my phone as soon as I approach it. Even when I use the radio it tells me it's connected. I use it with several audio apps not only to play downloaded music but also works great with Revain music. I can scroll forwards and backwards with no problems. I stood 35 feet from the bike and the BT worked fine. Easily stow your phone in your saddlebag. It's a 4th Gen Motorola phone, so nothing special apart from Everytime .3 connectivity. The display is easy to read in the sun. This is a negative LCD, so it doesn't blur at all.4. The USB charges the phone. I didn't check if it controls the phone, as Bluetooth works fine I didn't bother. I also didn't test Apple products because I don't care about Apple products.5. There are rear speaker outputs, a 3.5mm input on the front and a range of RCA inputs on the rear. I think for some GPS input. So there are 2 additional inputs marked as such in the sources menu, USB and Bluetooth.6. The controls on the handlebars work perfectly. There are no lags or delays. Reply as factory.7. No noise problems like alternator hum or LED headlight noise.8. Bike washed with no problems. But again, be careful you idiots, don't blow it straight out of the hose.9. The button also mutes the audio when Push10 radio reception improves from stock. But don't forget to check the antenna. Mine was bad so I ordered a car wire with a wire attached to the fender mount and plugged it over the radio behind the panel. Okay, something you can skip. Or find someone else. AVC is not. Automatic volume control. I'm used to not being there and to be honest for everyone else and who cares I won't miss it.2. The display's backlight is white and can be dimmed, but white is distracting and even annoying because it's in your field of view. Red would be better, or at least darker on a lower setting.3. The display has a useless dancing EQ histogram in the bottom 50 percent of the screen. I could care less. You could use it for something like a permanently displayed clock instead of navigating around the display. The bezel can be finicky when it snaps into place, likely due to the large weather seal it presses against. Once the face is removed you have a large water hole. Unless you order a $30 case separately. The lid also jumps open and many a punk can get away with it. I recommend this device to anyone who knows that the old factory device does not meet the requirements. This is definitely a better upgrade than plugging an amp into a factory unit. OK, update. I put a Cerwin Vega amp in the fairing and upgraded the speakers and all I can say is wow. Amplifiers are good even if you just upgrade the speakers. But I had an amp and I installed it. The speakers were upgraded first and they sounded great, but idle hands are the devil's playground. Thus, the amplifier makes the sound insanely loud and clear. The device used low-level outputs. I use JM 7.25 speakers but to be honest I can upgrade to Polk 6.5 or another brand. I find JM too expensive. I got them for free so I'm not complaining. I was thinking baggy speakers or lower speakers but to be honest I can hear them loud and clear and miss them when they wear a full face. With or without a half helmet, it's a blast. Mind you, I have a regular windshield that I don't look through. I don't have hard bottoms, just soft bottoms for cold weather. In general, assembly and quality are not inferior to the factory. I was going to go the marine radio path, the controller for the steering wheel, but I know people who have set this up and it works, but it comes factory installed with no issues. Yours is almost the same price. But it's made specifically for HD and works great. The only thing that is unknown is whether it will work for a long time? I am very satisfied and would recommend it to all my road couch nerds. questions except. The damn display is so bright it's actually so distracting that it actually blinds you when driving at night. White light directly in your field of vision reduces the sensitivity of your eyes and makes it difficult to see the road. It's on my street receipt. It's not getting dark enough. I ended up gluing a piece of plastic to cover the display at night. I wish this could be rejected more. So be careful. Bad at long distances. If you're a curb commando, you should be fine. Update 2 years usage. Well it was in the May showers and is holding up well. The white display at night still sucks. I got the reed window tint and applied two coats and it's fine now, but I really need to reconsider the display color. The ring around the dial is scratched from use. I really never take my face off unless I go to bad neighbors. The biggest crap is the radio. Yes I thought it might be my antenna so I replaced it with a new cable and mast with top knots. Still shit. So I listen to my phone and stream music, so I'll take care of that.
