It has been air pressed into something similar to what is used for dried squid/cuttlefish in Asian shops. When I opened it, there was a lot of unknown excess around the hat, which made me wonder where it was. I didn't want to turn it upside down at all due to the unboxing which is usually my first reaction to getting the clothes. I haven't washed it yet but it seems to me that washing 1 item is a waste of time. I'm considering just throwing it away, but. I think we'll see. Maybe it's just my OCD and my overthinking, but whatever.
