I love this product, it's not 3rd gen white phosphor but it's really amazing what it can do for $1000. These shots were taken without IR illumination in the depths of the forest, 1/4 of the moon with partly cloudy. I usually use it as a monocular, but I've also used it on a helmet. It's light, small and works very well. I've used this for night time walks around my property with no lights on and when using a low powered IR source like a Streamlight sidewinder I can see in total darkness and the IR LED signature is at a distance of 3 feet range completely invisible to the naked eye. Darkness. With a hat, I can take notes in complete darkness, outfit my backpack, play frisbee with the dogs, and keep an eye on my belongings at night.
