I took these to keep in my backpack when cycling in the rain and am very happy with the purchase. They have a strap at the bottom to keep them in place while pedaling and Velcro straps on the back and top of the shoe for adjustment. I wear size 11 men's shoes and wear them over shoes with no problem. You have enough space for big shoes. The reflective material is nice and the material is quite thick and durable. Don't worry about "sheer" rainproof products that tear easily. They are made to last. If you're looking for something to carry around to keep your feet dry in the event of a downpour while you're driving, grab a pair of these. DISCLAIMER: I wear tennis shoes when horseback riding, not cycling. Shoes so I can't comment on how well they match a pair of cycling shoes. Not sure if the strap on the bottom interferes with the spikes or not.
