This adapter is amazingly simple and just as effective. After upgrading the Samsung M2 EVO 960 from 500GB to 1TB 970, I got double the storage and double the speed. This adapter turned the SSD 960 into a USB 3 plug-in drive. This made cloning easier with free AOMEI Backupper software. The whole operation went very smoothly. One piece of advice I would suggest is to make sure you get the correct outlet when purchasing one of these adapters. Both EVO 960 and EVO 970 are M-Key types. Aside from that, the device comes with a heat sync patch and I'm not sure if it's needed as the heat level isn't very high. This is a great product.
