Everyone needs to figure out what works for them, but for me this comb is just great! I untangle tangles easily and the comb is very smooth. Not sure how much the coconut oil they use to make the plastic affects smoothness? Because the comb does not feel greasy at all and there are no marks on the hair or hands when using the comb. I wouldn't call it a "conditioning comb". Conditioning implies that a substance actually penetrates the hair, which is not the case with this comb. It is enough that the comb is well made and very smooth, without notches where delicate hair will cling.
