Before purchasing, be sure to read the limitations of this device because everyone has different use cases. For example I'm pretty sure if I want to upgrade to a 4k 144hz multi monitor in the future I'll probably have to get another one because I don't think it uses a 2.0 display port but probably a 1.4 display port, and I would also need to upgrade my cables to 2.0 cables. This is something you need to check if your graphics card or display output port supports 1.4, if you have cables rated for that spec, and you need to be aware of how your monitor works e.g. whether it overclocks or can only support the x standard etc. It's definitely a pain, but when it works, it works. I had graphics card slots filled with my 3 monitors that need a display port to get 144hz and I need a display port for the valve index but I only had 3 ports so I had to use a HDMI display port converter and I'm not getting full 144 Hertz. Then I found out about it, did a little research and decided to give it a try. It works perfectly and I could get another one and run an even bigger display if I wanted to, but I don't know how far I could push the graphics card before it causes problems. 3 displays is enough for me, but I've seen other settings on this product that push more.
