Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Power Heated Towing Mirrors for Chevy GMC 2003-2006 with Sequential Turn Light, Clearance Lamp & Running Light(Set of 2, Black) by Ikki Martini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A 1000x improvement over OEM mirrors.

I almost didn't buy this because some reviews complained about vibration. They don't vibrate AT ALL, I would give other reviews stating that this 1 star is most likely due to a DIY installation issue. If you can't tighten the 3 nuts and connect a wire harness that only goes one way then you are probably doing something wrong e.g. B. Not tightening the nuts, causing them to loosen and vibrate or not work. Other reviews have complained about the lack of schematics. In my box were 2 copies of the schematic. The connector on the wires connects directly to where your old mirror connects to my 2004 Silverado 3500 DRW. The mirrors themselves are 1000 times better than factory tow mirrors. In these mirrors you can actually see near and behind you. The adjustments are perfect, unlike other reviews that claim they can't adjust it enough, enough room to adjust. The small white LEDs on the outer edge aren't bright enough to serve much of a purpose, some people dubbed them backup lights. , they are not bright enough for that. I just hooked mine up to a small light at the bottom of my door that lights up along with the overhead light when you lock or unlock the door. Separate plug and extra cord included for them, even in the same color as the cords for this light, making it easy. My only minor complaint is that the levers are not flush with the truck, they run away from the car. more inclined than directly at the level between the door and mirror (see attached picture of the passenger side, driver's side still useless factory mirror). Great security improvement, very easy to install. After watching one of the many videos online to see how to remove the door panel without damaging it, the actual installation took less than 1 hour to make both mirrors. My advice: make sure you lower the window before you start, you want to be able to reach it to tighten/loosen the nuts while holding the mirror in place. Make sure the 3 screws actually go all the way through the holes and aren't hanging off the threads so you think they're all the way through, but they aren't. I suspect folks complaining about vibration or lack of adjustment are doing something wrong.
