Review on πŸ”„ JLENOVEG 5-Inch 8 Holes Hook and Loop Buffer Pad: Versatile Backing Pads for Polishing and Sanding Machines by Napoleon Robbie

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent sanding pads for finer grit and polishing, well made and strong

I use these pads for finer grit, 320 and up. They just seem better with a finer grit than the pad on the sander itself which is way too rough over 220. Of course, they are also good for uneven surfaces and also less prone to sticking. through thin veneers, especially for heavy hands. These pads are nice and thick, about 1/2 inch. They are strong enough to keep good contact, yet flexible. They look well made and work perfectly. I noticed that the white side that sticks to the sander has a weaker bond than sandpaper alone. I know that the velcro (black part) of my grinder is slightly worn. But that doesn't explain why sandpaper holds up well while these pads are iffy. Either way, the pads stick and work well. They fit perfectly including vacuum holes. The foam has the perfect texture for my applications and feels quite durable. So I'm assuming they'll last a long time. The price ($10 as of October 2020) for air might be a bit high for just two pads. But hopefully they will stand the test of time and prove useful. From what I've observed before, I have no reason to think otherwise.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other sanding pads
