I thought this necklace would be thin and not as bulky as it appears in the listing but it is as massive as a statement piece as it looks in the picture. The color is a little lighter than it appears on my monitor: I was expecting a navy blue and the necklace actually looks more like a royal blue. I was disappointed when I took it out of my bag and saw the color, but when I put it on I really liked it. This is a colorful accent, but not too loud and flashy. The necklace consists of twelve strands of pearls interspersed with small pieces of stone. The necklace has some weight, but not enough to make me aware of its weight when wearing it. The necklace itself is twenty inches long, add an inch or two depending on where you attach the clasp. Speaking of which, the clasp (lobster clasp, cheap HUGE O-ring, and cheap little chain) is the worst part of the necklace. The metal is so thin and cheap I can literally bend it with my fingers. Luckily I have extra lobster clasps and stronger O-rings to use as spares. One flaw isn't enough for me to remove the starβthat's $12 costume jewelry, and the pearl necklaces alone are worth the price to me.
